HOME WITH A FEW QUILT IDEAS

I have been off for almost two weeks to the east coast on a Revolutionary and Civil War tour.  Along the way I found some quilts, of course.
The baby quilt was photographed in the Smithsonian Museum of American History.  A reproduction of the original.  I spied several pretty close reproductions of fabrics I have had in my stash too.

In a shop in Charlottesville, Virginia we saw several really nice quilts on display.

Plus many really nice quilts for sale.  Next we will be off to Amish country.  With some additional pictures of quilts we saw there.

  1. Hi Donna,
Would you mind amending your post to include a reference to Design Wall Monday at http://smallquiltsanddollquilts.blogspot.com That way when people see your link and go to your blog to read about it, they can easily link back to Design Wall Monday to go to the next blog. Thanks! I really like the stars quilt you saw at the Smithsonian. Beautiful!

  2. To piggyback on Judy H's comment -- I found your post on Beth's Monday Making.
What a great trip you're having! It's fun to find fabric you have in a someone else's quilt, esp. in a museum or at a big show. (Or in a book. Then you realize the book was published 20 years ago...and you still have the fabric....)
