SHEEP, WOOL, AND WALL ART

We have taken in a lot more sites in the last couple of days.  We went to a sheep farm and watched them shear sheep.  They lay quite calmly when being sheared.  It was quite hot so I guess they are glad to have all that wool off.

Plenty of wool off just one of these guys to make some of that nice wool batting some of us really like.
In Christchurch they had many wall arts done on the sides of their buildings and walls.  So many interesting quilt/wall hanging ideas.
I particularly like the bird in this piece and the ferns.  All sorts of possibilities.

  1. What a lot of wool. I'm sure those sheep were glad to be rid of it.

  3. The yellow flowers on the wall art are kowhai blossoms from the kowhai tree, and some of our native birds feed on the nectar.
