I didn't immediately order any of BariJ's Wild Bloom fabric. I knew I have tons, well maybe not tons, but lots of fabric stashed away in my quilt studio. So I pulled anything I though might look good.
This looks like a pretty good fabric start. So I proceeded on to Pattern 1-La Fleur Block.
These fabrics looked perfect for my first block.
And here it is. I am a bit behind so Pattern 2 and 3 are waiting for me. So I will be working on those so stay tuned for more of this adventure.
I am in the same place with lots of UFOs, and also ideas for new things, but not bothered by it! Glad to know that not feeling bad about that is okay - to me it is all just fun! Your new block is really pretty!
ReplyDeleteAnytime is a good time to start something new! I have just under 200 UFOs and it doesn't stop me... :) I love that fabric! xx
ReplyDeleteThat's a good block for using up some florals! Turned out cute.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty start! I'm up to date with this quiltalong, loving it! So glad to know there are quite a few of us who love juggling WiPs!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhh, I love the soft flowers of your fabrics. It will be lovely, and I give you permission to start as many quilts as you want. They will all get finished someday.....or not. The important thing is that we are having a great time! Thanks for linking with Design Wall Monday. I appreciate you!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning,
ReplyDeleteSo, did that help? Feeling better? It sure is a pretty nice block - I love the fabrics you chose. I love starting new projects almost as much as I enjoy finishing them. I'm getting a few UFOs myself . . . and I'm okay with that, too. ~smile~ Roseanne
The best part of a project is the Start. YOu have to have a few projects going at once so you have so variety in your life. Maybe my list is a little too long at the moment but it could be worse I did just tick one project off the list this week. A lovely block I look forward to some more blocks when you get to them.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful block! UFO are just our fun way to keep ourself creative and sane! :)
