SEWING ROOM CHAOS

I have spent several days fighting with my blog's replies to post comments.  They have not been coming through to my email in order to moderate them and post my comments back to those that make comments.Very frustrating as it has always worked for years before now and I have not made any changes.  Still working on that issue.  So if all else fails I have started a new project this week, and working on Flower Power too.  Have three ladies coming on Monday to work on binding.  I had them in two of my last classes and they are still having a bit of a problem with the concept, so volunteered to help them here at my home.

I have had this container full of Tilda fabrics left over from various projects in the past.  They are pretty and spring colors so I thought to do something with them.

That one container was not the entire stash of them either.  Yes it does seem like a bit of chaos going on.

There is a bit of a method though.

The pattern is by Tilda and they offer a great selection of free patterns.

And a great lay out for construction.

And we have blocks 1 and 4 complete.  Plus a bit of progress on Flower Power from last week too.

    1. Yes it would age except the strips are 3.5 inches not 2.5. It has been fun to put together and those Tilda scraps are really getting used at last.

    1. Yes, it is working well with all those Tilda scraps. The pattern is really wonderful and easy to use. The only hard part is working on the transition from one color to the next in the blocks. While I have a good deal of scraps sometimes it has been a real chore to do that.

  3. Blog problems are so aggravating. Every time Blogger updates, something breaks (or they take something away). Love your new project, very fun to be playing with all those fun spring prints.

    1. Oh gosh, I thought I had it fixed and I could reply from my emails, but no go. When people take the time to comment I like to reply. I have sort of thrown my hands up, have tried to fix it and even get the request from emails to allow them in and no go. At least the new Tilda project is going along really well.

  4. I've had some weird things happening with my blog this past week too. Nearly 30 comments popped into the Spam folder over a 3 day period, waiting for moderation. But as I looked at them - the dates ranged from 2010 to 2018. And all of the comments were from people who frequently leave comments, and not spam at all.

  5. I still cannot get the problem solved. I get an invite from blogger to accept emails but nothing happens. So here I am just commenting back this way. I will keep trying to see if I can get it working. I have been checking my spam files too.

    1. I am really fed up with the whole thing. I just do not know how to fix it. So I am replying this way at least. Seems Blogger is an issue for many.

  7. Well, at least your "chaos" is pretty! :D That is a pretty Tilda pattern. Oh don't get me started about Blogger (eye roll).

    1. It didn't really put a dent in the Tilda excess. All went back into the same container and the top is done. I think I might make a runner with some of the prints before stashing it back into the closet.

    1. The Tilda project is almost done, and then back to the Flower Power quilt. Love the paper piecing as every thing goes together so well. Have the large flowers done now and working on the little ones. Love the pattern.

  9. That's certainly an interesting pattern -- thanks for showing how the parts are put together or I'd still be trying to figure it out. Yes, Blogger does strange things every so often. But it's still free!

  10. The Tilda pattern is interesting, but sure goes together well. They offer all sorts of free patterns on their site. Blogger and I are still not working well together. I have tried everything with no success, so I am replying this well. I always appreciate when you and others take the time to comment.

  12. What a great pattern to showcase large print fabrics. Does require one to keep tracks of various size strips. Looks like you have it under control.
