Got Scraps

I have a ton of scraps in my children's fabric stash.  I need a quilt for my guild's charity give away so decided to try to run something up with the scraps.  I think it came out really cute.
This is the block up close, very simple and only use 2 inch strips.

Puddle Jumping by Thimble Blossoms

I have spent the week cutting, pinning and slowly sewing.  First the four patches for sixteen blocks, then the side pieces now the square in a squares.  I finally decided to try putting just one square in a square on to see how they would fit.  Loving this.

A New Project

I just love Fig Tree & Co. patterns and fabric.  I have lots of the fabrics in my stash that I have saved and used over several years.  At the Pacific International Quilt Show last month I saw this pattern in their booth and just could not pass it by.  There are a lot of magic corners in this pattern, in all different sizes.  It may be a bit of a challenge to put together, but such fun too.

Craftsy Playful Piecing Class

I have enrolled in Craftsy's Camille Roskelley's Playful Piecing Class.  I am making her Piece of Cake 2 quilt. I had a wonderful stack of fabrics called Madhuri by The Quilted Fish of Riley Blake Designs and decided to use it for this quilt.  This is just four of the 30 blocks in the quilt.  Such fun to play with.

Pacific International Quilt Show

I just came back from the  Pacific International Quilt Show in Santa Clara, Calif.  I took tons of photos of their entries.  I loved this quilt, here are just two of the blocks in it.
Here is the entire quilt.  Such fun colors.  What a great way to use up scraps.
Another two that caught my eye.  Wish I had time to show more, but I am packing up and headed to Mexico on vacation.  The house and doggy sitter is coming in just a few hours, and I still have to pack. YEEEEK!  No time to waste.

Scrap Quilt

Love these floating stars.  So easy and no points to worry about cutting off.  This quilt used, well at least the stars, completely from scraps in my stash.  I am supper happy with the results.

Halloween Fun

I bought a 5 inch by width of fabric pack of Boo Crew a while back.  On the spur of the moment decided to do a fast runner for my daughter's table.  I knew her 3 boys would like it.  Love the angled ends.

A Birthday Gift

I have a fall birthday coming up for a friend.  I decided to make somewhat of a copy of my hall runner.  The leaves are larger, the runner is only about 11 inches wide by 30 inches long, and I used thread to represent the vine instead of an appliquéd vine.  It went together in an afternoon.
Here is a closeup of the vine, leaves and quilting.
