PUMPKINS, LEAVES AND STARS

This past week I really have not accomplished much of anything.  I came down with a sour throat, coughing, and very congested cold and have not felt good about doing much of anything.

Last week on Monday I finally finished up this project and it went off to my quilter.  A bit late in the season, but at least it is finished.

I machine appliquéd the pumpkins down.

My quilter also dropped off my Autumn Nights quilt that she did custom quilting on.  My policy with my quilter is that I'm the artist that made the top, she's the artist that is going to quilt it.  Almost 100% of the time I just hand it to her and say go for it. I am never disappointed.

I think she did a fabulous job on this one.

  1. That’s the kind of a deal I have with my quilters. I trust them all the way.

  2. Love both of your fall wall hangings! You can still get away with hanging them until December. Your quilter did a beautiful job with the quilting.

  3. So sorry you for the respiratory illness, I've had the same this week and completely get it. I did the same with my quilter, the only thing I would specify is if I wanted all over or customized quilting. Not all my projects deserved the attention of custom quilting. Looks like you've got a great quilter.

  4. I do the same thing with both of my quilters - trusting they always choose thread and design so well. Once in a while I'll have something specific in mind. Hope you start feeling better again.

  6. Both quilts are lovely, cute pumpkins and beautiful quilting. Well, the fall decorations can happily stay up until Christmas ;) I hope you are feeling better. The weather is getting colder, and it's flu season. Take care of yourself.
Thank you for sharing your pretty quilts and linking up

  11. Lovely pumpkins. I'm sorry you have sick, and can certainly relate as I picked up some kind of coughing bug after a coach trip away. Three weeks later I'm much better but still not quite clear of the coughing. I do hope yours doesn't hang around for too long. We've all got too much quilting to do to be sick!
