I spent this past week finishing up the last of my guild's quilt show boutique items that will be sold during the show. The show is in January, but we do a great deal of early prep and I wanted to get my contributions out of the way. Now I can get on to some fun projects for myself.
The last two runner and the fabric was fun. Could not resist the tomatoes and strawberries fabric. These last two compete my contributions to the show. Yes, 72 table runners, 16 table toppers, and 40 zipper pouches. Last week I started working with my Tulip & Vine pattern by Sherri McConnell and a fun fat quarters set. A second fat quarter set in greens finally arrived and I was able to finish off these two 8.5 by 17.5 blocks. These are fun to make. Not sure if I am going to just do a table runner or a full quilt yet with them.I also pulled out some left over scraps and I am playing with using them up and moving them out of the scrap bin and on to the charity group with a quilt top and bindings. I had hoped to rid myself of them, but find that even after getting these 25 blocks finished up I still have an awful lot of fabric still left. Back to the drawing with this idea I guess. I am convinced scraps multiple at night when you turn out the lights and leave the sewing room.Linky Parties on the Side Bar
I really like your tall tulips and fabrics chosen, you've made me want to make some

Love your tulip blocks, they came our really nice! Your veggie material is adorable, perfect for a summer picnic table.
ReplyDeleteThe table runners are really fun, you picked some cool fabrics for those. I agree, scraps seem to just multiply in whatever storage area you have them in. Good luck finding homes for some of yours.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is a ton of finished prodjects! I’m greatly impressed. I’ve been thinking about making whole cloth runners, and am even more encouraged after seeing yours. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been seeing the Tulip & Vine pattern on blogs and am sooo tempted to buy the pattern. I’m on a freeze as I’ve run out of room – which is filled with WIPs and UFOs!
My instinctive response to your charity quilt blocks was a gasp of delight, then thing how soft and relaxing those colors are. Beautiful job!
Luving the tulip blocks?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. You're so very talented.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Ha! I'll have to check your theory tonight as I'm sure my scraps are multiplying. Love the Tulip and Vine blocks. Such pretty fabrics! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Fun tomatoes and strawberries fabrics ;) You were very productive sewing for the show!I love the tulips, cute and pretty flowers. Thank you for sharing and linking up, I hope your scraps will not multiply too much during this night ;))
ReplyDeleteLove the tulips!
ReplyDeleteYes, absolutely the scraps multiply at night! Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell
ReplyDeleteYou PERSONALLY made 72 table runners for your guild's boutique, plus all those other things?! I think you deserve to do whatever you want for the next 6 years at least!!
ReplyDeleteI agree! They multiply when you aren't looking. Cute tulip blocks.
ReplyDeleteOver 100 items for your guild bazaar, bravo! Those runner fabrics were fun, I love the food fabric prints. Your tulip blocs are cute. I've followed Sherri McConnel for years but don't think I've ever made one of her patterns so will have to check this one out. You are so right about scraps multiplying -- the more you use it seems like the more you have, LOL!!
ReplyDeleteCute and fun table runners! Lots of finished projects for the show! Love your tulip blocks, so pretty! I made Sherri's BOM last year (first time) and I really like how it turned out in RSC colors. I've left to quilt it. Scraps DO multiply overnight, I'm convinced! ...and I agree with Vivian's last sentence! lol
ReplyDeleteVery fun tulips!!
ReplyDeleteI know you are glad to have your guild items completed and now can work on more of your own projects. I really love the tulips! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tulip blocks!!
ReplyDeleteWowzas! You've been busy. Love the tulips and the fabrics and totally agree, the scraps are like bunnies.
