GONZO FINISHED

Yes, Gonzo is finally finished.  I can't wait to quilt it.
I did cheat on the third row from the bottom and instead of doing some sort of triangle I just did two strips.  I'm telling myself that I did that to give the eye a rest from all the other activity in the piece.    I thought that sounded more creative than I just didn't feel like making up another triangle block.

  1. What a gorgeous use of those fabric! It's hard to put such saturated colours together well. You've really succeeded.

  2. Congrats on the Gonzo finish! In case I missed it before, I have to ask, any chance it's named after the Gonzo from the Muppets? LOL If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have had a clue about the third row from the bottom. Thanks for sharing your finish! Andrea

  4. Wow, that's colorful! I think the strips instead of triangles work great. You're right--tell everyone it was a design decision! Congrats on the finish!

  7. A fun finish. How are you going to quilt it? Or do you age your tops before quilting like I tend to do?

  9. It's not laziness, it's a design feature! Yeah, that's it. I'm a big fan of design features, and this one works very well. So much gorgeous color!
