A BETTER START

A couple weeks ago I posted a beginning of this wall hanging/runner, but I was not happy with the straight lines of the strips.  It took a couple tries to get it right at least in my mind.  Below is a picture of my original try.    
I also ended up having to change the first orange color.  I pretty much depleted my whole fat quarter of it experimenting with strips.  
I guess the old adage of try, try again works.  I am much happier with the new plan.  Now just to finish off the last row of that darker purple.

  2. I agree about the straight lines on the first attempt. Maybe you should put down the rotary cutter and use your scissors? Looks like you're like me - love wonky improv but find it hard to let go and actually BE wonky. Great colours though - look forward to seeing your progress!
