So many wonderful ideas. This piece was really lovely.
This close up of a lily pond reminds me that I have a UFO in my closet that needs attention. I love the thread work on this.
And wonderful ideas for trees.
Now I know these don't necessarily make one drool over them. However, these top stitch sewing machine needles by Superior are a must for me, especially for machine appliqué.
And last but not least are some white Batiks for my Dogwood project and my favorite white backgrounds. I do like white backgrounds but not solids, so these last three finds were a perfect addition to my white fabrics stash.
Lots of pretties -- quilts and fabrics you were able to take home. I'm getting tired of my solid whites. It is cheaper and easy to find at the local JoAnns. But every once and a while I go wild and find other whites!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful pieces. You gotta love shopping for fabric!
ReplyDeleteYou found some lovely fabrics! I too love whites with some interest to them but not so much you wonder if they are really whites.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your fun day at the quilt fest. You made some pretty purchases, and good needles are essential!
ReplyDeleteHi Donnalee! Ooh-la-la. Those low-value white fabrics are just perfect as background choices. I've not tried Superior needles before but you got a nice selection at the show. I always find lots of inspiration at a quilt show - that thread painting is gorgeous. Thanks for linking up today! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI have a question about the needles. I am having problems with my needle getting gummy when using fusible applique, then the thread breaks. Will these needles help with that? Looks like you enjoyed the quilt fest!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to that show, but lots of fellow guild members have gone, including this year. The light backgrounds can be so hard to find, good shopping!
ReplyDeleteOh my, so beautiful. Wow.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Getting to go to a quilt show and shop is always honest
ReplyDeleteYay -- it sounds like you had a great day full of both quilty inspiration and shopping!
ReplyDeleteYou came home with some gorgeous new fabrics. Enjoy playing with them.
ReplyDeleteMy dogwood idea took a nose dive but I hope you follow through with yours, these will be great fabrics. Lovely photos today. Thank you for linking up to Put your foot down.
ReplyDeleteoh so glad you had a good time!!
ReplyDeletereminds me of all the great adventures we used to go on!
hope all is well!!
Definitely was a great show!
ReplyDeleteDon't you love it when a quilt in a show inspires you to go home and work on a WIP? I've had that happen to me too. I love your new Kaffe fabrics. Thank you for linking up with the Peacock Party.
ReplyDeleteI love those Superior needles too!!! From your post and other people's post, I'd say this is a quilt show I should make an effort to see one day. Glad you had to much fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day!!! And beautiful quilts! LOVE your new goodies!
ReplyDeleteThe quilts you saw are some of my favorite types. Of course needles are exciting. Otherwise, how would we quilt? Your fabric acquisitions look like fun—especially those white batiks, which I think can be hard to find.
