These are quarter meters. A little larger than a quarter yard. We should not complain about the cost of fabric. Two meters of fabric cost just a little over $40.00 of American money. It is lovely fabric with a feel like Art Gallery fabrics.
And here the second fat quarter meter I purchased. Now to fly home tomorrow and get busy making something fun.
And a last photo of a really interesting wall piece we spied in a quaint shop on the way back to Christchurch. I really love the colors on this piece.
wow, wow!!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see what you make!
safe travels!!
Hmm, my son is going to New Zealand in couple weeks. Maybe I should direct him to some quilt/fabric stores!
ReplyDeleteIt looks as though you have had a lovely time in New Zealand, yes unfortunately we do pay a lot for fabric here. Look forward to seeing what you create from your purchases. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.

ReplyDeleteWow! You're right - we should not complain! What a great final photo - love that stained glass look!
ReplyDeleteYou made some beautiful selections. Looking forward to seeing them in future projects!!
ReplyDeleteYep! I live in NZ and it is expensive to buy quality brand fabrics at specialty quilting supply stores...sigh, thank goodness for the Fat Quarter Shop sales and the NZ Post international depot service...
ReplyDeleteOops, also meant to add, I hope you enjoyed your time here in NZ!
DeleteWhy can't we here in the USA get such gorgeous fabrics. They would be worth every penny.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to hear that you have enjoyed your visit to NZ and that you found some nice fabrics to take home with you. Safe travels home :-)
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you enjoyed your New Zealand trip, we have a lot of keen quilters here! Did you find/purchase any of the New Zealand themed fabrics? The NZ flora and fauna designs are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely fabrics you found, and that wall hanging is stunning.
ReplyDeleteOH wow! Thanks for photographing and sharing that quilt on the wall. I just love it!
ReplyDeleteI also love your fabric purchases. I am visiting from https://dreamworthyquilts.blogspot.com/ but am currently logged into a different google account.
How nice to have fabrics from your trip! Yes, I have been grateful for several years that our fabric prices are easier to deal with than our Aussie and Kiwi friends.
