The stand had lots of highlighted appliqué.
Her dress so much easier.
Her face and hair. I ran into a bit of a problem with the backing fabric showing through the face and a little bit through the hair as well, Never the less I thought the eyes, nose, and other facial features came out really well.
And done. Not a finish for me, as it was mailed off to Janet for quilting and framing.
Wow! That is some intense applique! You did such a beautiful job of it, I'm in awe of your work!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable quilt! That must have been intense with all those pieces and only 3 days of working on it! Well done! Love the face and hair!
ReplyDeleteAll that in three days is an amazing feat. Definitely some tiny pieces to work with. thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.
ReplyDeleteTurned out fabulous! Thank you for sharing her this week on Midweek Makers
ReplyDeletewow, wow, wow!!!
ReplyDeleteyou do such nice work!
I love her designs. This looks smashing as a large piece.
ReplyDeleteI never remember to check if lighter fabrics will show through the background, and inevitably, i just iron some embroidery stabiliser (whisperweft type stuff) onto the wrong side of the applique piece, and phew!
