Blogger continues to give me issues. Comments do not go to my email. I have fused with settings and still not much progress. I have always liked to email back and let commenters know I appreciate them. Now, very few seem to go through. Just to let those of you know that do make comments that I appreciate them very much and would love to know what is going on. I sure cannot figure it out.
I enjoyed quilting my Wonky Blocks quilt so much last week that I decided to put together a baby quilt for my charity group and quilt it as well. Fun little quilt 36 by 36. A perfect very quick and easy finish. It is time to start a new appliqué project. Appliqué really is what I prefer and love doing out of all the different quilting processes. Fabric choices seems to be the one real chore for me though.
I have a small stash of Australian fabric, and picked up on sale some Batiks that I thought might really work well. Not really sure right now how this is going to go together. I still need some sort of background fabric. So I think shopping for some interesting background beige or tan fabrics is in order. Not sure where this is going as of yet.
You will get the comment issue figured out. Technology is wonderful when it works! I like where you are going with your applique project!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteI had that same comment problem this week and somehow fumbled around and fixed it. Other people told me it fixed itself about mid-week. Maybe that will be true for you today. Your donation baby quilt is sweet as can be!
ReplyDeleteI have had the same issues this week with blogger. Here is how I fixed mine. I went to Settings and scrolled down to "Email" . I erased my email from "COMMENT NOTIFICATION EMAIL" and then I scrolled down to "Invite More People to comment Notification Email". I added my email and then refreshed. It worked for me. I hope this helps and may work for you as well.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an ambitious applique project that you have planned. I like the fabrics that you have chosen so far. I prefer piecing, but that may be as I have enough other types of hand stitching in the works.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Wonky Blocks finish. You've got a very fun set of fabrics picked out for the new project.
ReplyDeleteTo fix the comment email issue, I went into settings, deleted my email from the "Comment Notification Email". Then added it back and then set Comment Moderation to always and added my email to "Email Moderation Requests Too." The comments didn't start showing up immediately. It wasn't till the next day after I'd turned my computer off and back on did they start showing up again. Hope that helps.
Every once in awhile it seems like Blogger just loses its mind. I did the same thing as Kate mentions in her comment, about a year ago when I had the same issue. The Wonky Block quilt is adorable. That applique project looks like it will be beautiful with those fabrics.
ReplyDeleteIt's Blogger, and it's just awful - I have the same problem! I find comments on my Comments page that have not gone to my email, so I have to look up email addresses to reply to comments. Ugh! Your wonky blocks quilt is so cute! The applique projects looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAfter a brief search online, I noticed the comment issue resolved itself for some bloggers. When I had this issue a months ago, I had to go to the settings and subscribe to receiving the emailed comments. I went to Blogger>Settings>email moderations requests to __________@gmail.com. This solved my particular issue!
ReplyDeleteUntil then, you can click on the person’s profile picture in your comments on your Blogger account and their email should come up. Good luck to you!
Sorry about the commenting issue! Your wonky blocks quilt is adorable and your next applique project is breathtaking! Can't wait to see that one underway. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, a new appliqué project! These sunflowers are very pretty, and your fabric selection looks perfect. Lovely baby quilt too.
ReplyDeleteI had the same issue with Blogger last week, I did what Melisa and Kate did too, and after one or two days, it was fixed.
Thank you for sharing, and linking up!
Congrats on your finish. I hope you get the comment thing figured out soon. Thanks for linking up with Monday Musings!
ReplyDeleteThe floral quilt is scrumptious and so are your fabric choices. Any pale fabric will let your appliqué work shine. If you imagine the sunflowers growing outside, why not go with a whisper of a sky blue.
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous Laura Heine project in the works! Hope you enjoy it! I haven’t noticed a comment issue ( shhhh.yet). But hope yours rights itself soon! BTW, love that adorable baby quilt!
ReplyDeleteUgh, blogger and the technical issues seems to be a random ongoing thing. I have found that patience is necessary and things straighten out on their own. Good luck! Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you managed to sort out the comment issue. Technology can drive me crazy when it's not working right. Love the fabrics for your new projects. Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday.
