FINSIHED, FINISHED, AND A SCARY START

Sometimes it seems like you are never going to get anything completed.  I almost always have multiple project going on all at once and it seems like I really am never going to finish anything.  All of a sudden I have just finished multiple projects.  I have two quilts on the back of my chair in the family room that I am finishing off the hand sewing on the bindings, and it looks like I really need to look for another project to get started now.  I know I have several sitting around somewhere under the cutting table.

Posy came back from the quilter on Thursday last week.  I love the quilting Hollie did on this quilt.  The binding is machined on and just the hand work to finish.  Stay tuned next Sunday for that finish.

The quilter also finished The Flower Pot quilt.  It only have a small bit more of hand work to do on it.

The quilting on this is absolutely wonderful.  Tracey at Blossom Quilting in Oakdale, CA did this.  I just hand a quilt over to her, she picks the pattern and thread.  I have never been disappointed.

I have two blocks to finish for October on my Garden Party Down Under BOM.  These small ones go together really fast.

This second one just needs a ton of little circles appliquéd to it.  They really do go pretty fast, but a bit boring to do.

While on vacation in July I purchased this pattern along with the fabric kit.  Since things seem to be well on their way to finished I thought I would get it out and see what is involved in making it.  Oh my, a ton of cutting those triangles, like 170 of them plus another 70 four inch squares that took 3 afternoons.  The direction looked somewhat scary.

Block one done.  Interesting and yes starting out very scary, but the directions are awesome and that center lays FLAT and the points MATCH.  Only 34 more to go.  Yes, they take time, they are not a rush job,, but I am really looking forward to working on them.
