OCTOBER QUILT ALONG AND MUG RUGS

After returning from a ten day trip to the East Coast I came home to  the continued remodeling of our master bedroom and bathroom.  Needless to say the studio time was severely cut short.  I finally was able to take a couple hours last Friday and Sunday to get away from it all and spend some quality time sewing.
This little helper missed me and painting and work crews make her a nervous wreak.  I had her pretty much attached to my side for the last week.  If she can't lay on my projects then she is on my lap while I sew.
I finally was able to get her to exit the area and get a photo of my October Fat Quarter Quilt Along blocks.  Only two more months to go.
While also doing some clean up after the Spicy Spiral runner I found a few left overs and decided to make a couple new mug rugs for our living room end tables.  These 12 by 12 inch mug rugs are a little bigger than the normal size, but they are so nice.  I made some  earlier last month to coordinate with our new bed quilt.  We liked them so much better than the smaller size that the living room got a bit of a mini face lift too.

  1. DonnaleeQ,
How could you leave your little helper behind???!! I would be glued to your side, too - works crews, painting, and then you deserted me. Geez! I like the shot better with her in it - who needs to see what you're working on. HAHA I love the mug rugs - I like a bigger size, too, just for other stuff. ~smile~ Roseanne

  8. Oh, your sweet helper! Our little guy gets nervous around a lot of activity too. I hope she has a calmer week this week! Love the idea of larger mug rugs, and those fabrics are fantastic!
