BAGS, BAGS, BAGS AND MORE BAGS

Several years ago at a quilt show I purchased Handprint And Make Your Own Bags by Jenny McCabe and this fabric.  Just recently I stumbled across it while doing some organizing in my quilting studio.  Bags are a big thing, especially as our area has now banned plastic bags.  If you do not come with your own bag to the store they charge you 5 cents for every bag you need.  A great time to make up a bag or even two.
The problem, as usual I bought way more fabric than was needed for one bag.  After finishing two bags I still had sufficient fabric to make up two smaller ones as well.
Of course, I did not purchase enough lining fabric so a shopping trip to pick some additional lining fabric and handles was in order.  I will end up with four bags.  I guess a couple of them will make great gifts.  This is a done deal so I am linking up with:

  5. Great fabric! We can never have enough bags! And why bring something ugly to the grocery store when you can use these beauties!

  6. You will be the gem of the grocery store with these beauties--I love the fabric. Good to hear that your area has banned plastic bags. More of us need to work in that direction.
